How the dispute between the two countries started on the Galvan Valley
On May 5, 2020, there was a violent clash in East Ladakh region between the soldiers of India and China. After this, the soldiers of the two countries clashed two more times. Negotiations were continuing at the military and diplomatic level to end the dispute. The two countries held several talks at their respective levels, but due to the double attitude of China, more than 10 times the talks of the soldiers have been inconclusive.
The nearly 3,500 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC) is the border between India and China. LACs in Ladakh and North Sikkim have recently undergone military construction by both Indian and Chinese armies. This gives a clear indication of increasing tension between the two and strictness in the attitude of the two weeks after two separate incidents of deadlock.
